Thursday 28 January 2010, Brunei Muara Officials from the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) yesterday conducted a visit to the venue of the Travel Exchange (Travex) 2010 to show full support to the ongoing exhibition and Asean Tourism Forum 2010 as a whole.

The delegation toured the two interconnected halls at the Bridex Centre in Jerudong, housing the buyers and sellers from all 10 participating Asean countries.

"We just want to show our full support on the event and personally thanking them for making the whole ATF a success," said MIPR Minister Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Hj Yahya Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Hj Abu Bakar.

He said that he was satisfied with how the interactions between the buyers and the sellers went.

The touring sessions were divided into two; morning and afternoon where the delegation toured the first hall in the morning.

Accompanying the minister in the morning was Malaysian Minister of Tourism Dr Ng Yen Yen, Deputy Minister of MIPR Dato Paduka Hj Hamdillah Hj Abd Wahab, Permanent Secretary at MIPR Hjh Suriyah Hj Umar and other senior officials from both countries' tourism boards.

The delegation continued to tour the rest of the exhibits in the afternoon.

At Travex, each buyer and seller were given 22 appointment slots per day over a period of two days, and each appointment not being more than 20 minutes, thus there should be no room for distractions.

The buyer and seller appointment sessions registered close to 400 buyers and 314 seller organisations, with an estimated 750 seller delegates, who made appointments for business discussions, which started on Tuesday
