Organization Structure
This division consists of 7 units with their own specific roles and functions, namely Administration and Finance unit, Legal Standard unit, Conformity Assessment unit, Certification Scheme unit, Research and Standard Development unit, International Relation unit, and Promotion and Standard Information unit.

Brief History
First established on 2nd May, 1996 when Resource Centre was name as Resource and Standard Centre. At that time, Resource Centre was one Division under Ministry of Industry and Primary Resource (MIPR) organization and Standard was one Unit under Resource Centre. The purpose of Standards Unit initially formed was to manage country needs in terms of supporting Small Medium Entrepreneur (SME) Standards and Quality Product (food) aspect produce by local SME’s.
On 1st January, 2003 Resource Centre and Standards was combined with Promotion and Industrial Planning Division to become one bigger organization and named as Promotion and Entrepreneurial Development Division, and still maintaining the main role of the unit.
In November, 2004, the Unit moved to the old Resource and Standard Centre building which had been build in year 1974. Renovation and maintenance work had been done during that month to improve the condition of the building.
In July, 2006, National Standards and Accreditation Centre was promoted to become one of the Division under MIPR and this is one of the biggest achievement in the history of this division.

As a Centre of Excellence in Standards and Accreditation which is Recognised Regionally and Internationally.
Mission
To encourage Negara Brunei Darussalam (the local) entrepreneurs to penetrate international export market through the usage of regionally and internationally recognised standards.
